s60 and lakewood drag shocks and struts
OK first I have to give Carl at chp a big thank you. Best person I have dealt with in the car hobby. He went above and beyond making sure I got what I needed and knew what I was getting. Highly recommend him for anyone needing a rear end.
The install was just as they said bolt in. Needed my spohn torque arm cut to match which was really a breeze. Driveshaft is shorter so strange made me a beautiful 3 inch chromoly one to the specs I needed fit like a glove.
Now to the myth you can't street drive a spool. I was worried but I have to say it really isn't that bad. Turning in parking lots is tri8cky but not much worse than my auburn posi. And yes I had the pleasure of driving it in the rain with Mickey Thompson et street radials and its not undrivable just have to use your head.
The rear just feels solid now. The ten bolt felt fine but now driving this its definerly more stout. I gained about 60 pounds from the ten bolt. Can't really say anything on the prformanxe gain since I'm running a completely different suspension and tires now.
The Lakewood shocks are 50/50 rear and 70/30 fronts. They really are nice and improved the stance of the car and have helped a bunch on launchs. I wish I would have gone with 90/10 fronts but got scared away since I drive it on the street. These handle better than my sensatrac shocks and struts did.
Overall a great upgrade
