BMR Torque Arm

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of getting this torque arm from BMR for my car. My suspension is all stock. I am going to rebuilt the suspension over the summer with all new bushings and shocks.
The only other suspension mods I have made to my car are hotchkiss sub-frame connectors, lower control arms, and panhard bar.
What kind of difference does the torque are make in terms of performance?

Re: BMR Torque Arm
It will.eliminate any deflection in the arm itself and the poly.bushing will do the same. The major benifit to the aftermarket arms is being able to.set the proper.pinion angle, which requires the arm to be adjustable. Honestly I see no worthwile benifit in an arm with not available adjusmnet. Get an adjustable one, or leave it stock. Make sure the steering, shocks struts.and.tires are in good working order before anything else, you will see the most benifit there.

Re: BMR Torque Arm
Thanks for the heads up. I am running the stock borg warner 9-bolt rear in my car. I've looked around at other companies and many of them have special notes about what to do with their set up.
I haven't decided which torque arm to get just yet. I still plan to upgrade my suspension with just all new bushings and bilstein shocks & struts. Maybe I should keep my stock torque arm and upgrade the bushing from rubber to poly.

Re: BMR Torque Arm
Depending on what you are doing with your car, I would recommend getting a torque arm that does not mount to your tail shaft.

If I had a car that had head, intake, and cam upgrades would that be an issue? At some point I want to do those mods but I want to set up my car to be able to take that abuse.

We just installed a UMI in our SuperCamaro. It works nicely.
