Yah im definetly an idiot I didnt read like I should have and removed the torque bar without removing the rear coil springs like I should have. Now the rear end is pivoted upward and the springs are tilted as well and about to fly off. what is the best way to get the rear end back to where it should be so i can get that torque arm on. thanks, Eric

if you put a floor jack under the back of hte axle, lifting by the cover area, you should be able to get the axle to rotate down in the front. if not, put a jack stand under the panhard mount on the axle sice mount (driverside) and lower the rear onto that jack, that shoudl also rotate the front of the axle down, hopefully enough to get the torque arm back on.

FWIW, you may be able to just grab the front of the pinion and pull it down....

Or you can pull the emergency brake and have a buddy push on the back of the car.. Or push it yourself then chock the wheels.

Or you could lift the front of the car and put it on stands. I've removed and reinstalled the torque arm several times while the front of the car was up on stands and never had a problem reattaching it to the rear axle.

Jackup the rear of the car and put stands under the rear subframe rails.
let rearend hang.
Grab a nylon ratchet strap.
hook a end to the panhard bar attachment point on driver side rearend.
wrap it around the frame tie bar.
hook the other end to the same panhardbar spot you did b4
B sure you put strap so u can work the ratchet.
now tighten the strap until the rear is rolled/moved into position.
Do it all the time, Works great.

just disconnect the rear shock mounts and lower the axle enough that you don't have any spring tension (watch the brake lines). The springs are what is causing the axle to try to rotate.
