Front coil springs / isolators

Hi,

I am rebuilding the front end on my 85 IROC. I am installing a set of Eibach sportlines in the car. I noticed when I pulled out the old springs the isolators were ripped apart, so I will be replacing them. I also noticed no isolators on the bottom of the springs. Should I or is it worth doing the heater hose mod on the bottom of the front coil spring?

thanks.

There were no lower isolators from the factory. You really only need noise and vibe isolation on one side of the spring.

You may have trouble finding new upper isolators. In that case, heater hose would be fine.

Re: Front coil springs / isolators

Thanks for the reply. My first thought was to do the heater hose mod, as I did on the rear springs. But I found that energy suspension makes universal isolators that fit for the top of the spring. Its good to know there is no need for lower isolators. thanks again.
