DRIFT SETUP???
ok guys, i'm getting a spohn k member for my lsx swap, and i'm wondering, which springs are better for drifting? the choices they give me are as follows:
Pro Tour, Pro Drag, Pro tour w/ QA 1 single adjustable struts, Pro Drag w/ single adjustable struts, Pro Tour R series struts, Pro Drag R series struts, Pro Tour w/ double adjustable struts, or Pro Drag w/ double adjustable struts... all QA1 struts, so which is better with my setup, or should i go with the k member and a totally different brand of struts and springs? i'm already planning on lowering the car also

Re: DRIFT SETUP???
It doesn't really matter what brand springs but what spring rates they are.
From what I've read, the QA1 stuff seems to be more for the drag racer. See the thread here "3rd gen road race car will not hook up out of corners." Of course, since you want a drifting setup, you DON'T want to hook up out of the corners, so maybe that would be a hot setup.
Having never setup a drift car (although I've, um, unintentionally done it for fleeting moments), I'd be more concerned with the rear suspension. Keep it simple with Bilsteins or Koni singles, 22mm sway bar, probably spring rates in the 300-400 pound range and a good differential because I would think it's easier to control the drift if it's not one-wheel peel.

For sway bars, Summit or Jegs (or one of the advertisers here) should have a few options available. Not sure about part #s, but they will tell you the diameter in the descriptions.
As far as springs, I don't know what sort of off-the-shelf stuff is available. Or really, what the spring rates actually are. Eibach has Pro-kits and Sportlines -- probably a search here would give you what the rates are. The description probably won't tell you the rates. There are other options like Ground Control weight jackers (adjustable ride height) which you can order with different spring rates. Also check out Suspension Spring Specialists.
Just for a reference, my car has the weight jackers with 800# springs in front, 150# in rear. Sway bars are 34mm in front 18mm in rear. I autocross it so I don't try for the smoke show coming out of corners (but it might happen occasionally).
