Spring Isolators...
Is anyone running without the spring isolators? Are there different heights available? What problems will I run into by running without the spring isolators? Where can I purchase replacement spring isolators?

Re: Spring Isolators...
Nothing that I know of where thirdgens are concerned.
Perhaps a bit more noise as the contact will be metal on metal.
Spohn sells the fronts; the thirdgen rear isolators may have been discontinued (I understand that the replacement from GM is a fourthgen version which jacks the car up significantly.

Re: Spring Isolators...
Alright I think I'm going with the same setup as RockyD...
I know that the front of my car is being run without insulators, almost 100% postive. When the Eibach Sportlines went in the rear isolators were removed, the previous owner said he didn't like the stance of the car so he had them reinstalled. Unfortunately he told me they were rubber blocks used to raise the rear to give it "Muscle Car Stance"... But he did mention that they were in bad shape and needed to be replaced. I'm currently redoing the suspension on the car and lowered the rear axle to check on these so called "blocks" and see if I could replace them. -Thank You

Re: Spring Isolators...
the front are just a thin piece of rubber, simply for noise i believe. the rears are thicker, and will raise/lower the car about 1/2"+, they can be removed if needed and replace with a piece of heater hose to avail any noise.
FWIW, i have weight jacks front and rear in my 92, with no rubber on any of them, and they make no noticeable noise.

Re: Spring Isolators...
After I installed my Jamex springs I didn't like the stance of my car. With the lines of the car, it almost looked like my car was squating in the back. I installed a set of rear spring isolators from a '98 TA. It raised the rear up about 1". Made the stance of the car look much better.

Re: Spring Isolators...
You can eliminate the metal to metal by simply wrapping the top coil in electrical tape if you want to remove isolators.
If you need lift, many places sell coil spring spacers that sit in the bottom, come in many different sizes - just round aluminum pieces that go into the spring perch at bottom, and have a lip that the spring sits on.

Re: Spring Isolators...
I removed the Old Spring Isolators, they were deformed and one of them had split. The car is in the shop right now, but when it's out I'll let you know how it is.

Re: Spring Isolators...
I have 4th gen isolators and they do raise the car substantially in the rear. I would actually prefer to have the 3rd gen ones as my rear I find sits way too high for my taste.
