Through the floor subframe connectors

I've seen these done on 4th gens and foxbody cars.

Anyone done this on a 3rd gen?

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors

Third gen subframe design doesn't need SFC through the floor. There's enough room under the floor to weld in SFC to the subframes.

He might be referring toi the passenger side piece. I've seen people do one through the floor on the back half, so that there isn't a step.

No real need to go through that much trouble though. Under the floor works just fine on a 3rd gen & easier to connect to the rear "subframe" pieces anyways.

Sometimes the wheel doesn't need re-inventing & this is one of them.

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors

A few of the cheaper SFC kits go into the floor some. Higher quality perimiter style SFCs work just as good without breaking out the saw-zall

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors

I don't see the point of going through the floor, unless it was to connect to a roll bar/cage
