Through the floor subframe connectors
I've seen these done on 4th gens and foxbody cars.
Anyone done this on a 3rd gen?

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors
Third gen subframe design doesn't need SFC through the floor. There's enough room under the floor to weld in SFC to the subframes.

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors
No real need to go through that much trouble though. Under the floor works just fine on a 3rd gen & easier to connect to the rear "subframe" pieces anyways.
Sometimes the wheel doesn't need re-inventing & this is one of them.

Re: Through the floor subframe connectors
A few of the cheaper SFC kits go into the floor some. Higher quality perimiter style SFCs work just as good without breaking out the saw-zall
