Will 17x11 cause excessive understeer or will the added traction be worth it? Should the fronts and rears be the same width (all 17x9.5)? I think I'm gonna get these boyds.
I put this on the autocross board too but by the looks of the dates on the posts, its pretty dead over there.

Someone told me that if you want the best handling performance you should run the same size tire all the way around the car cause wider tires in the back were for traction. Other cars such as Porsche, etc., have different size tires and handle just fine but I think they are setup and engineered just a tad bit different, lol. Is this right or way off base?

More rubber is more rubber. Put it wherever you can. A 275 is about max for the front, but 315s fit under the back. If understeer becomes a problem, then you can tune the suspension to fix that without much trouble. Go for the BIG STICK!
BTW: those are some sweet lookin wheels. What do they sell for? Are they available in custom backspacing?

$1000 at www.sportruck.com in the sizes I want. The other thing is that I have a Formula and am worried about looking silly with such big meats without ground effects. http://shop.sportruck.com/bcodd/tuned.htm
