lowered performace on the strip

lowered performace on the strip

my IROC is lowered 2", If I take it to the strip what kind of time do you think will be lost b/c of it?

Probably 2 tenths of 60' at least, so close to ½ second in the ¼; the faster your car would run, the more difference it would make. Obviously if your car still doesn't have enough power to spin the tires it wouldn't make any difference at all, but that's probably not the case...

I have Eiabach pro springs in my car. They = about a 2" drop, (give or take). I was pulling 1.7 60 fts. on BFG DR's w/ my old motor. I believe that traction is all related to the track surface, the tire type used, and the driver's abilities. Now, this is not to say that w/ drag springs I wouldn't have run faster. That may be the case - but, my car seemed to do exceptionally well w/ lower springs. I was not able to do a side by side comparison. This is another issue of.......do what pleases you.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
If you use LCA relocation brackets to keep the rear of the LCA lower or equal to the front, wheel hop should be eliminated and ET should be about the same.
