yes you do, I used the same Eibach Pro kit so let me find my alignment specs and I'll post them. When you lower the car it tends to shift everything and I had an extremely hard time getting a shop to actually do the alignment and keep the car driving straight.

Your alignment will change drastically when ride height is changed. Alignment highly recommended.

I ran 30 psi in the kumho AST 245 50 16 tires. I hated those tires. No traction for my driving style. Now I run Firestone Firehawk Wideovals in the same size.

You Should get the Lower control arm Reloc. Brackets to restore your control arm angle.

As for the alignment angles the factory specs are listed all over this site. I personally align my own car at my shop to these specs with great results and minimal tire wear.

Camber 0* Caster +4* right side +3.5* left side (Lots of road crown here in utah) Toe +.15* I also load the car with sand bags to emulate my weight in the car to ensure that the alignment is set when i am actually in the car

Re: just lowered car... questions

You don't need an adjustable torque arm, I'm using the factory one without issue. Here's the printout for my alignment after a 2 inch drop. Hope it helps.

The adjustable torque arm is to return the pinion angle to stock... thats not an alignment angle just the angle of the pinion shaft in relation to the ground. Funny stuff goes on when pinion angle gets screwed up

Re: just lowered car... questions

I have the torque arm relocating crossmember. It has adjustable torque arm mounting points. Wouldn't that work the same as adjustable torque arm? Probably not enough to restore pinion angle. Trying to find 65 mph slight vibration. Car has old saggy V6 springs with V8 and 8 point bars. Does sit a little lower than original.

Re: just lowered car... questions

We road race an 89 GTA. After moderately lowering the car, we found we needed the adjustable torque arm to restore the correct pinion angle (just as stated in the previous post) AND we needed an adjustable panhard rod to re-center the rear axle. Lowering the rear may cause the rearend to shift laterally. You can get a rough idea of how much by standing a straight edge against each rear tire and measuring the wheelwell clearance.

For street, having the rearend shifted laterally a small amount may not be critical, but it will make the car "dog trot" going down the street.

If you're lucky, one of the positions might be close, but I suspect the adjustable mounting points won't effect the pinion angle enough to restore the correct angle.

Re: just lowered car... questions

So what are the LCA relocation brackets for? Cars lowered 2 inches or more? Just wondering because I know mine is lower than factory height. Other than 65 to 70 mph vibration all else seems fine. Thinking back I believe vibration was worse before changing x-member. Changed engine and tranny at same time so it's hard to tell what helped. Checking pinion angle will be next step. Any suggestions?

The LCA brackets return the LCAs to their original orientation to the axle to prevent the axle from rotating under acceleration, preventing wheel hop, primarily. The torque arm controls pinion angle. If you don't have enough pinion angle, it can cause driveshaft vibration.

Re: just lowered car... questions

Thanks all. This entire thread has been very informative, to me anyway. Don't have wheel hop problem, yet. I'll be checking pinion angle asap. Thanks again.
