Spohn torque arm info needed
I am modifying an older Spohn torque arm to work with a 4L80E swap I am working on.

I noticed that the newer style uses a different design to allow the torque arm to move forward and backward it uses two plates instead of the telescoping design I have. Can anyone tell me the center to center dimension on the plates? The attatched pic shows what I am refering to.

Re: Spohn torque arm info needed
I have both but I've never measured either.
I'd say on the 2nd design, the holes are probably 1¾" - 2" apart. Not far enough for what I think you're probably thinking. The crossmember won't be in the right place anyway so it doesn't a whole lot matter.
Actually I like the 1st design better but that's too bad, the one I have in my car now is the 2nd. Oh well sux to be me.
OTOH, last time I called Spohn, Steve picked up the phone, and told me what I wanted to know without hesitation reservation or equivocation. Try it. You might get lucky.

Just poking around on Steve's site...

I might as well spend the $40 and purchase the kit.
