c4 vette irs in a 3rdgen?
im wondering if anyone has heard of a independent rear suspension swap into a thirdgen?
im thinking the cheapest irs to get would be from a c4 corvette, i guess(not sure) that there cheap and relatively easy to find, please correct me if im wrong.
what do you think would be the total cost to do the swap?(i could always trade the straight axle for the irs, and i have my high school auto shop to do the swap)
from what i believe its mostly cutting off the mounting brackets from the live axle then maybe doing mods to the rear floor pan or fender wells then just fab up all new mounting brackets for the irs then bolt the irs in, add anything more that would need to be done?

The C4 Corvette rear end worth getting (Dana 44, found on cars with a manual transmission, as opposed to the Dana 36 with an auto) is worth at least $1500 MINIMUM.
Look through that thread, you'll see it's far from anything resembling a "bolt in" installation. No offense, but I seriously doubt you'd be able to come close to finishing it in an auto class in high school, even if you had all the skills for it. Again, no offense to you personally, but I think you'd be in over your head
