strut tower brace??

so my car is a 88 was a v-6, pretty sure, i bought the car from some one who had no clue about it, had no motor when i got her but wired for tpi the rear end numbers decode to a 87' posi disk rear i bought edelbrock #5227 for tbi cars go to put it on and the master cylinder and brake lines interfear so i am wondering do i have a diff master cylinder? maybe an 87' it seams to be at a different angle from the 86 i had with non disk rear or maybe the car was v-6 5speed in 1988 ? ive seen how to do the conversion to a manual from a auto and having to lower the master cyl. do the 5 speed cars have lowered master cyl?? so should i bend the line and grind a nub off the master cyl. corner?????? i could off center it by 1/4 in and it looks like it would clear??

Re: strut tower brace??

move the line and grind the master if you need too. dont take too much off the master, dont want it to fail.

the boosters and masters are all the same shape and location in a 3rd gens.

No clearance issues with my 5-speed car.

Re: strut tower brace??

IT'S IN with about quarter inch of clearance fits like a glove guess you could say i actually used the brake lines from an 86 master cylinder it was bent closer to the master cylinder already yeah gotta bleed the brakes but gonna just bleed all new fluid to them any ways been wanting to for a while now so thanks for the info
