Ball joint falling out
I was under the car yesterday and noticed the ball joint not seated properly. It's kind of half pressed in there, cocked off to the side a little. It's not completely fallen out, just makes me a little nervous. Anyone have any ideas? What would happen if it completely fell out while driving? Catastrophe? It's still bolted on the top so it wouldn't fall all the way through.

Re: Ball joint falling out
The worst thing that will happen is the wheel will fall off and at speed that can result in flying 20 feet in the air and slamming into a bridge.

Re: Ball joint falling out
" No Brainer " , fix/replace it . a car can be many things , if you can not steer/handle it . well it's just an accident waiting to happen . be safe , good luck .
