I need springs that won't bottom out bad!
I live in Canada and the roads suck to put it mildly. I put 4 new springs in last year and have not been happy. They were after market and I have been having trouble with the back ones ever since. The first ones they put in were terrible so they upgraded them to moog performance springs. These also suck hardcore. The car bottoms out in the dips really bad. It is also still sitting a bit lower in the rear. I was going to put in 2 new gm springs but they are $109.00 each for the rears. If I am going to spend that money I want the best I can find for my dollars. Do you have any suggestions. I really can't lower it much because I can't get up my drive way.

I know what you mean about the roads. I live in Ontario and the roads here suck too. I'm glad that we pay $.80 per litre for 87 octane (that's $2.35US per gallon - for 87!!!) and still have to hit pot-holes the size of Hyundai's.
Sorry... went off on a rant there.
I have Suspension Techniques springs with KYB shocks on all corners and my car has never bottomed out. It gives a 1.25" drop so I don't scrape too often. Maybe the springs aren't your problem. The damping rate of the shocks also make a difference in how fast the springs are hit with full load. The inertial force of the car may be overloading the springs because of the weak shocks.
Also... make sure the little rubber bump stops haven't fallen off - it makes a big thump if they're missing.

Hey guys thanks for the info....LMAO @ sleeper!! I hear ya about the gas prices. I put in over $100 a week just going back and forth to work and I always run supreme which sucks even harder. At least you live in Ontario where there is money to fix stufF HAHA. Here in the Maritimes we are poor and they don't fix anything!!!!
I was wondering if you have a problem getting it on a hoist. Also where did you get them. Thanks

$100 per week??? keeeerap that's alot. I have a VW Golf as my daily driver and I only spend about $25 per week... ouch
I got the springs from Performance Improvments in Toronto. I wouldn't suggest you go to them though; they're grossly over priced (my buddy works there so I get stuff cheaper) Check out this guy:

He's out in Winterpeg but he's really good and I've bought numerous things from him in the past.

I forgot your question about the hoist.
I doesn't fit on most of those 4 arm style hoists. The exhaust pipe under the passenger's feet hangs about 1/2" too low. The drive on style is what you need. Also, you'll need a low profile (indy style) jack to fit under the crossmember. Mine is too tall and I have to drive onto a piece of wood before I can fit it under.

Thanks for your help. I have to make a decision soon...those old springs are driving me crazy. It is hard to find anyone in canada that supplies performance parts. I get a lot of my stuff from Canadian high performance. Stuff is about the same price and you don't have to pay the brokerage fees. Thanks again for the info
