Track Bar????????????
The bar going from the Rear end to the side of the tranny. I am replacing the Motor and tranny with a 350/350 and need to know how this bar attaches and if I really need it or not. Not sure how it originally mounted, bought without Motor and tranny. Any help would be appreciated.

Okie dokie, you're describing the torque arm and not the "track bar", AKA the panhard rod. The torque arm connects the tranny w/ the rear to aid in planting the rear wheels during acceleration. Yes, you need it, and it bolts to the rear using 2 long bolts going through the front of the "pumpkin". I hope you got these, but they shouldn't be hard to get if you don't. It attaches to the tranny via a rubber mount, I believe, which is bolted on the tranny. (Guys help me out if I'm wrong..) Anyhoo, it is recommended that you upgrade this part with an aftermarket adjustable one, but they ain't cheap. Hope this helps.

I've got the Steve Spohn torque arm. It was a little expensive but well worth the investment. This might be a good idea for you, since Steve's design does away with that crappy rubber bushing at the transmission. Steve's torque arm replaces the entire tranny crossmember and connects the new arm to a bushing end welded directly to the crossmember.
