1LE Lateral g

I'm 18, and I have a red 91 z28 1LE. Question, how many lateral g's can those things pull? any guesses? or has anybody done one on a g-tech?

Damn Ben calm down already! OK most Z28's did about .89 to .90 lateral g's. I would suspect the 1LE did about .95-.99 but nowhere near or over 1. Hope this helps and be patient.

Time to crank out the accelerometer from the physics department. It all depends how
I set it up but I am pretty sure I would be pushing upper nineties and probably break
one with the slicks. Honestly, a stock 1LE does not do that much better then an IROC
in my opinion.

And chill out dude, why do you need to know so bad? braging rights? It is really easy to find out for yourself, most schools have accelerometers that will hook up to your TI-83 calc if not stand alone models.

TI-83? Use a protractor and a plumb bob like a real man.

Oh trust me, I will go to great lengths to avoid trigonometry. Besides how accurate
could you possible get? I would want meters/sec to two decimal places.

what the hell is a TI-83. i don't think i have ever seen one of those. I have a TI-85 and a TI-92. The only think i keep the 85 arround for is the unit conversion and in case the 92 kills the bateries durring a test. Trig is just about the easiest thing there is in the world. I mean if you don't know trig you have got to be in some trouble. without trig you can't even begin to understand calculus or physics. some thing else you could do is get a 100 ft tape measure and mark out a circle in an unused parking lot. drive arround it as fast as you can with out spinning out time the average rotation. Then use good ol f=ma to get the centripidal accileration. or if you don't want to derive the FMR use v^2/r.
