Hey man, I hope I'm not bugging you with this one, but how did you make them? I want to add some, but I thought that $150 is a little too much for something I could fabricate. What I really need to know is dimentions. And how you got around the exhaust? If you have pictures, that would be even better. If you want to, just e-mail me. If you don't want to give up your secrets, that's cool too.

Thanks, stingerssx

sorry i never saw this before now. i looked at several catalogs and got an idea of how other people were making theirs. i settled on a sort of kenny brown copy. i used 2x1 1/2 x.120 sq. and ran it from the 2 subframes, has a mitered joint in it and i welded a 3x3/16 plate on the bottom to add strength and for a jacking point. i ran 1x2 x.083 sq. from the inner (what ever it's called, look and you'll figure it out, on the rear subframe) forward to a brace going from the first SFC to the trans frame braceing and then another 1x2 forward to the forward subframe. wish i had pics but the ones i've took don't come out very clear because i can't get the car high enough. if you jack the car up, look at a few catalogs and see where they have to go it isn't that hard. i don't have exhaust on my car so that may of made it lot easier. got to make another set sometime for my sons car and he has exhaust so i'll see how it works on it.

My brother and I built a set for my car also. They are pretty basic as far as chasis modifications go. Just connect the front and rear sub frames together with tubing attatched to reinforced hard (mounting) points. We reinforced the hard points with
1/8" plate. I decided on 1 1/2"X 1/8" wall square tubing for the side rails. We used 1" square tubing to run diagonal memders to the area near the trans crossmember. On the passenger (exhaust) side we cut and pieced the 1" tubing over the top of the cat. It was tight but it fit. I later moved the cat back about 3" to make more room and stop a rattle.
We used 1/8" gussets at all welded joints.

5 Spd, 3:73 Posi, 1 5/8" SLP headers, 3"cat connected to
stock L69 exhaust, KYB's, homemade SFC's,STB and wonderbar
Some are faster but mine's fast enough.
