How to adjust the parking brake cable
For all of you guys who dread going under a car with jackstands (like me).... I hate fumbling with tools.... I like to do the job and get the hell out from under there... Anyway, the tools you need to adjust the parking brake cable:
1/2" stubby wrench (preferably closed head)
9 mm wrench (open end)
The 1/2" is the nut you turn, while you use the 9 mm wrench to hold the bolt steady to keep it from turning with the 1/2" nut.
You can add that bit of info to your chilton's, haynes, or camaro shop manual (this info is found in none of them!)

To do this the quickest, I recomend that your remove the drive shaft and the torque arm. That way you have more room to move. It is very easy. It is alot harder to do if you don't. I also hate being unercars for any reason. Even if they're on the ground!!

stingerssx, you would remove the torque arm and the driveshaft? It took me about 20 minutes to adjust my Formula or my IROC's brake this past summer, I can't remember which one it was but both have torque arms.
I just worked around the driveshaft and the torque arm, looks like removing them would add much time and effort.

I agree... I did it without removing anything... just use a stubby 1/2" wrench. It only took 10 minutes, with my girlfriend turning the back wheel (easy enough for a chick to do) to see if it was locked. Very simple...
