Do Z28 & RS use same springs?
I have a 91 Z28 and a 92 RS. Both have new Monroe Sensatrac shocks but the Z has always had a MUCH stiffer ride than the RS. Does anyone know if the Z28 and the RS use different spring rates?

I cant answer your question completely, but my 91 Z28 and my dad's 92 RS have the same rear springs, code NNL. We havent checked the front springs yet, we just found out when we swapped fuel pumps and rear ends in his car.

AFAIK there are very few different rears. There are however quite a few varieties of fronts. In general the Z28s and IROCs got much stiffer springs than SCs, RSs, and other plain Camaros. The same sort of thing applies to the Pontiac versions of these cars.
However, any of them will fit any car; the frames, control arms and all the other surrounding parts are the same. The struts are the same dimensions, just different internal valving to produce the different damping required for each suspension.
For an interesting exercise, go to your local Moog dealer, or NAPA; look up all the front springs that they list for various versions and years of all these cars (there's about 8 or 10 of them); then go look up the specs for all of them in the "buyer's guide" in the back of the catalog. It's quite an education. Keep in mind that when you look at the weights, heights, and rates, they're talking about the spring itself, not the wheel deflection or height.
