KYB shocks, junk?

I put a full set of KYB shocks and struts on my car and within 2 weeks one of my rear shocks seems to have blown, the right rear of my car is sagging 2 inches lower than the left side.
I need to replace them and want some recomendiations. what do you guys like?
Thanks Jim

KYBs are a good replacement strut/shock. There must have been a defect in the shock. I would return it for a replacement it has to still be covered under warranty.

Good luck!

I was looking into getting a set of Monroe Hi performance shocks. they are costly though 150.00 a pair. I've also considered KONI, I don't know if KONI makes rear shocks though.

KYBs are basically a decent replacement strut and shock. Any consideration given towards them being a performance strut or shock should be given up--they are not. If you want the best and price is no consideration, go with KONIs. Yes, they make a front and rear in both Red and Sport Yellow for the 3rd Generation cars. The only problem with KONI is that their ability to keep up with demand leaves a lot to be desired.

KYB are a good shock as far as I am concerned, I have them on my car and they work great, they have been there for almost two years and they feel just as good. Did you check to see that they were the same part number for the rear ones, they might have give you one for a different car or something, either way they will replace them.

I originally had KYBs. They seemed good at the time (thought the struts were too soft though), but after i put in my Bilsteins, the KYBs pale in comparison.

Had KYB's on the front for 78,000 miles. The left front ruptured and started leaking oil. I usually hit a certain railroad track going to work pretty hard. I'm sure that was what got the left front. The KYB's on the back have 105,000 and are in decent shape. If the car makes to 250,000 it will be due tires and I'll replace the shocks/struts and springs...if it's still running.
