front wheels uneven??? help...
hey, i ahve an 89 iroc... i am redoing the struts/springs and noticed my left front wheel sits back towards the rear of the fender and almost hits it and the right wheel is a little farther foward than center. any idea what causes this? will new struts/mounts and alignemt correct this or is my frame maybe bent??

That's more likely... or it's your k-member or a suspension component.

yeah, it moved a little with the new struts and such, but barely... i'm thinking maybe a bent frame or k-member...
do you think this will affect the drivability of the car and if so, in what way(s)? i really would like to avoid k-member replacement if at all possible... $ is tight...

Re: front wheels uneven??? help...
Don't measure your wheel placement to a piece of sheetmetal that is hung next to it. Before assuming something is wrong check the measurement front to rear WHEEL.
If you don't have someone that can help, use a level to make a mark on the driveway exactly normal (perpendicular) to the center of each wheel. Measure between the marks. Make sure the car's driven a bit (50 or so feet is fine) if the front end has just been dropped off a jack to settle the struts.
If these marks are off take it to a shop to have it checked and confirmed. They shouldn't charge much for a quick inspection.

BTW the wheelbase should be 101".
If there is a noticeable problem, I say skip the driveway measurements and take it straight to a shop.
