Re: Raise rear end like "old school"

This is a 1970 Chevy Nova. I had a 89Rs Camaro and a 86 Iroc Z. But You guys were talking about lifting the rear of the Camaro and I just thought that I would show you what I did to my nova. What I did was I put taller rear shocks on the back than the stock ones, the stock shocks were about 20.75inches and the new ones were 24 inches. It used to have air shocks but they suck and will eventually go down and "NOT" evenly so the car will tilt in the rear one way or the other after a few day. And if you want to raise it back up then its back to an air pump. So I just elected to have taller permanent shocks. Then I have leaf springs in the back and I had them RE-ARCHED.. and RE-ARCHED as much as possible so the car sat as high as possible in the back. This was the result. I want to get taller tires on the rear but I havent found a good set of rims yet, that will be wider and taller in the rear but just wider in the front. Hope this helps you guys. I know that Third Gen Camaro's dont have leaf springs but you will have to figure something out. Talk to your local speed shop.
