Welcome to TGO. If it's an end link, you may have to cut it--or simply apply enough pressure to twist it off.

Re: rear torsion bar help!

you can try spraying the bolt with liquid wrench or my personal favorite, KROIL. let it soak 15 minutes, spray again and then try to loosen it. If that dont work, tighten it until it breaks and replace it.

Do you have an impact gun?

Re: rear torsion bar help!

ya sure do, but the bolt is on top of the bar so i can only get a socket wrench up there, or i would have no problem gettin it off. unless the bolt is not even suppose to be on there in that way. and ive put liquid wrench on it already

Re: rear torsion bar help!

what exactly are you working on?

the sway bar or
the torque arm, the piece that goes from teh trans to the rear?

IF its the torque arm, they are very tight. There is a nut on the underside of the arm as well, put an impact gun on the nut, and a wrench on the top and bang away, it will come off.

if its the sway bar, just cut the links off and buy new ones, they are shot anyway

Re: rear torsion bar help!

it would be the torque arm or torsion bar, i have already got the nut off the bottom. it just the entire bolt will not budge. ive showered it with liquid wrench. btw its the bolt closest to the diff. cover. the 2nd bolt i have no problem with.

Re: rear torsion bar help!

thread the nut back on but dont let any threads stick out. Take the biggest hammer you have and hit the nut. This should get it broke loose.
