adjustable lca or lca brackets?

If i use adjustable lower crontrol arms, will i still have to use weld on lca brackets after lowering car? I'd like to avoid having to get the lca brackets.

No, you won't.

And they serve 2 totally different functions. Neither one is needed for the other to be installed.

Re: adjustable lca or lca brackets?

You can adjust the load on the LCA's, but the LCARB's are what changes the angle of the LCA's. So when lowering the car you actually make the LCA more level (prone to wheel hop). So by buying LCARB's you can change the angle and achieve better traction from your adjustable LCA's. Also look into a Panhard bar as well.

Now there are people on here without LCARB's that have their cars lowered. But really you should get the LCARB's.

He's right! The lower control arms will help recenter the rear tire. Umi Performance offers both Lower Control Arms and Relocation Brackets. Below is a link to show you what all we have to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help!
Thanks

Re: adjustable lca or lca brackets?

i just want to lower the car about 1 to 1.5 inches. I just want to go with the adjustable lower control arms if thats possible. I know that i will also need an adjustable panhard bar and torque arm. What i am unsure about is what is absolutely neccesary to use when lowering the car. If i don't have to use the relocation brackets, then i'd rather not.

Re: adjustable lca or lca brackets?

The only thing ABSOLUTELY necessary, is the lowering springs. That's it.

You don't HAVE to do anything to the panhard bar.
You don't HAVE to do anything to the LCAs.
You don't HAVE to do anything to the panhard bar.

I ran autocross with 2 lowered 3rd gens (90 & 92) and did nothing but cut all 4 spings (and a front end alignment).

A torque arm in totally not needed, short of a drag racing car.
