So i think i finally attributed my squeek to my drivers side rear coil spring isolator. Only problem is i cant seem to find anyone that has them. i Dont want the OEM ones sold from dealers because i read they raise your car up, and i would like to not use heater hose because i do not want to lower my car any more than my new pro kit lowers it. Is there anyplace to buy them online or something, or is my only option to hit up the junkyard?

 

Probably, that or the classifieds here. FYI: The heater hose will drop the car a 1/2 or less. Trying it might surprise you.

I've had all 3 options with my Prokit, ended up with the original factory 3rd gen isolators.

 

Problem is with my 4th gen rear and tires, even with the fenders rolled, i rub over bumps. i dont want to go any lower and tear up my tires. I remember the rear isolators being pretty thick.

 

You can always just go to a GM dealership and buy the 4th gen rear isolaters. Some say they are thicker then the 3rd gen ones, but according to my ruler they came out to be the same thickness. Unless my ruler is broken... I think the dealership I went to charged like $28 for them. I bought brand new 4th gen front spring isolators at the same time and I think to total price was around $45. I have my reciept in a pile somewhere in my room which I'm in the process of cleaning so I'll let you know if I find it. (I really need a filing cabnet or something... combining all the loose papers in my room would probably measure up to atleast 5')

The back of my car is a little high for my liking so I may try the heater hose trick. The problem is finding the time to do it.
