what tires should i use?

i have aluminum slotted mag wheels. this is just a cruising car, daily driver. the front wheels are 15X7 and the back are 15X8.5 with a 3.5 inch backspacing. i wanted to use 275/60/15 or 245/60/15 for the back and 225/60/15 for the front. im gonna use road hugger radials, will these tires and wheels fit on this car?? any info is appreciated!

okay so these are the wheels. these were just put on there to see how it looks. the tries that are on there are to big, they are like 1 inch away from the fender well, so itll rub on a bump or something, but the front has the tire that i want on it. its the 225/60/15 and they fit good. so its just tryin to figure out the back! what ya'll think??

There's no problem using a 275/60/15 tire. I believe the ones I had measured 27.5" from the ground to the top of the tire. Not so sure about the wheels though, I'd think the rears are way out with 3.5"BS. I know I have a set of 15x8's on a 4.5"BS and those are on the edge of looking ugly out of the wheel wells.

Road Hugger Radials? Going for a retro look or something?

i like the way it looks witht he car. the white lettering and the road hugger look. idk just like it better than goodyear. and yeah i know the backspacing is really small, thats why i was asking. idk we'll have to see. if they dont fit i could sell them.

okay so theyre prolly gonna fit outside the fender a little. anyway to fix it up so it wont hit the fender? or am i just f***ed? i see cars all the time with the tires and wheels not tucked under the fender. would i have to change the shocks or somehting?

Re: what tires should i use?

Shocks won't affect that. But, new ones might be a good idea to keep you from smacking the tire into the lip of the fender/quarter as much. You'll either need new wheels or just live with. You can trim the inner lip of the quater panel, but some say it weakens it. I have a 4th gen rear end in mine and they are about 1.5" longer on each end (have them so my 17x9s will fit without spacers). So, my stock wheels stick a little. Had my inner quater lip trimmed last time it was in the body shop.
Stock wheels:

17x9s:

Not a very good comparison though.

Re: what tires should i use?

yeah thats what i was wondering if the shocks would help it from slapping the fender lip. i was thinkin bout maybe just widening the fender a little. thatd fix the problem but not sure how it would look. idk lol.the ones in that pic or actually 9 inch rims and they stuck out about 3/4 inch. thinkin i might just have to buy ones with a 4 1/2" backspace one them. oh well lol. we'll see if it fits before i do anything.
