Tire and Suspension Suggestions?
ok, I have a 1989 Firebird that I am looking to redo all of the suspension, rims and tires on the car. I have a set of 15x8 Einke aftermarket rims for the car right now. I am leaning towards purchasing the Eibach Pro kit Springs which would lower the car 1.3" in the rear and 1.6" in the front. So, now I need help from you guys as far as what size tire you think would work (and look) the best for doing this. Like I said, the rims are 15x8 and I am going with the Eibach springs.... what do you recommend for tire sizes that would fit? Also, what do you recommend for shocks on the car as well? Any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a photo of the car before the start of the restoration:
And here is a photo of one of the Einke Rims that I am using:

Re: Tire and Suspension Suggestions?
I got the rims on Ebay for about $100 and then refinished them myself. I am restoring a Bandit II Firebird and could not find the original rims that are supposed to be on the car like these:
So, since I could not find the original ones, these are about the closest match I could find. I had another 1989 Trans Am that had the Eibahc Springs and lowering kit on it and I had 245/50ZR16's on the 16 inch GTA rims, but these are the 15 inch rims, so I don't know what tire size I should go with. Should it be a 245/60R15?
