Having a bit of a wheel hop problem.

Hey guys I have a bit of a dilemma. Last night we all went out for alittle racing and I was having trouble getting out of the hole. For one the road sucked for two I have Kuhmo ecsta ast's if that matters. Anyways I was having some wheel hop issues. Iknow my torque arm mount needs to be replaced but I have LCARBS, adjustable tubular Panhard bar and tubular LCA's. Is it my torque arm mount that could be the problem? If so what's the easiest way to replace it? Any help would be great.

Re: Having a bit of a wheel hop problem.

if the torque arm bushing is bad, it will cause wheel hop. A nice crossmember mount arm from UMI or Spohn will be a great solution. And your tailshaft will thank you

Re: Having a bit of a wheel hop problem.

Well I replaced My Torque arm bushing and my Tranny mount today and I must say I could live my whole life and not replace one of these again. I had a torque arm bushing for awhile and it was facing the wrong way. i had to wait for Vatozone to get me the right one, luckily it came pretty quick. So just for FYI to all those out there.

3.1112R (red)or G (black) for the torque arm lips facing TOWARDS the driveshaft

3.1111R or G for the torque arm lips facing AWAY from the driveshaft.
(this is the one I needed)

These are ENERGY SUSPENSION part numbers.

Re: Having a bit of a wheel hop problem.

I have the same tires. I also have:

Aftermarket panhard bar w/ poly
Aftermarket LCA w/ poly
LCA relocation brackets
Poly sway bar endlinks/bushings
poly trans mount
poly torque arm mount
new springs
new Koni shocks.

My car wheel hops like crazy. Haven't been able to figure it out. Worst part is my 1-2 shift where it hops under normal driving conditions, ie, 2000rpm part throttle shift.

Re: Having a bit of a wheel hop problem.

I haven't had a chance to "test" it out yet but normal driving feels alot smoother. the car doesn't feel as squirrly as before at higher speed. I just used a regular rubber mount for the tranny mount. I heard people has problems with the ES mounts.
