Will 255/35/18 and 285/35/18 Fit???

I have a set of 255/35 (front) and 285/35 (rear) and was wondering if they would fit my car (91 RS)? I'm looking at buying 18x8 rims, and have these tires from a Mustang I owned previously. Even if I have to run a small spacer this would save me a TON on my upgrade. Thanks for any info.

The 255's are 25" tall which are .8" shorter than stock and would fit fine on 8" wheels. The 285's are the stock height but won't even think about fitting on a 8" wheel with that small of a sidewall. You need at least 9.5" wide wheels if not 10's.

I'm running that now...except i think 35 series...the rears i have are 10" and they fit width wise w/out rubbing - i have about my middle finger worth of clearance (width wise). Looking at them though - I'm thinking odds are they won't fit on a 8" stock rim. They spill over pretty far. Like bmonte said - they may fit on a 9.5, but i can't speak from experience.

245/40/18, 18x8.5 front, 56mm offset
285/35/18, 18x9.5 rear, 56mm offset

No rub/massaging needed. LS1 rear, 2" spacer front.
