Has anyone broke their tubular k member yet?

I have heard a lot of reasons not to run a tubluar k member on the street. Basically it's because of the lateral forces put on the k member during cornering. I have a spohn k member that I am going to put in. It will be for street use but not a DD. Anyone have one break yet? Thanks.

I have had a profab k member for 3 years and it has not cracked.
But I have yet to install it.
Before I do install it I plan to reinforce it with lots of steel.

every aftermarket part has broken in someone's car. guaranteed, on ls1tech spohn parts have broken in multiple cars--torque arms, LCAs, etc, all kmembers have bad batches as well. I run an AJE and their new design is nice and no cracks. First design had flaws, but they are a GREAT company for service.

You are very right in what you say. I know everything breaks at some point. I've "heard" that tubular k members are more prone to failure thats why I was asking.

I like your quote in your sig about being judge by 12, we say that a lot at work.

I believe MrDude has been running one on the street for quite some time now. If memory serves me correct it's a pa racing unit.

Those are my two goals. Mainly for the room for the exhaust.

Re: Has anyone broke their tubular k member yet?

Chromoly is going to be much more likely to break in a street car than mild steel.

I'd be more concerned about the a-arms personally.
