what size tire? 315? mine seem to stick out a bit more. what size spacer did you use? Maybe I just need to play with my panhard bar (car is out of commision at the moment)

Do you have the stock 3rd gen rear end? I'm asking because I have a 4th gen rear, and its about the same as a 1" spacer. You can make LCAs that are offset to the inside of the car so that you have more clearance.
Looks awesome, btw.

looks really good! thats what i want to do with mine... right now i have 17x8 SLP hyperblacks with 245/45/17 nitto 555s and they arent nearly wide enough for me
what would i have to do to get them to fit... what are the specs on the front and rear rim demensions/ offsets/spacers/ backspacing/tire sizes w/e
im also sporting sportlines and your setup would look amazing on mine.
looks really good lol i love it.

Re: Mufflex 4" and 17x11 zr1s installed
the difficult part about my setup is that I have a ktre 12 bolt so I have no idea whether it was built to 3rd or 4th gen specs or something in between. I would imagine you would definately have to use a bfh on the inner fenderwell in order to get them to fit with sportlines. but i was able to get the perfect size spacer by setting the wheel on pieces of wood where I wanted it to sit in the fenderwell (as far in as possible with at least 1/2 inch clearance between fenderwell, lca etc.) This was obviously with a jack under the axle and not the body of the car. When the wheel was where i wanted it, i just measured the space between the hub and brake rotor and it was exactly 1". i wish i could drop mine but the mufflex y pipe and hooker lts are too low, good luck your setup will look slick.
Wait I missed that you have longtubes and true duals! how is your ground clearance with the sportlines?

I had my wheel wells trimmed when the car was in the body shop. You know where the quater panel mounts to the uni-body? The auto body guy cut that down to be flush with the quater body. Got about 1/8-3/8 of an inch off the quarter. No more rubbing with the stockers on the 4th gen rear.

well i had true duals before the sportline swap, i wanted to lower the car tho and i was putting in new struts/shocks etc as well and the true duals woulda been on the ground with the sportlines.... so i had to heavily modify the undercarrage of the car. the headman longtubes tuck up nice but its a tight fit with an auto so i notched the stock subframes alil more than 3" so that i could run 3" headman header extensions right off the collector and what this did was tuck it up against the floor of the car and the extensions where Sbends so it pushed the exhaust to the sides of the car sorta and allowed my to clear the trans no prob, i then ran a 3" universal Xpipe from summit right off the extensions and the 3" mufflers with turndowns are connected right to the xpipe.
with the car lowered the exhaust doesnt sit lower than the deep trans pan. the lowest part is the mufflers bc they are right against the floor, when i replace the fuel lines etc and run new lines somewhere else im gona cut into the floor and tuck them up even more.
dont cut the stock subframes unless u got subframes installed tho.
clearance isnt bad but when i tuck the mufflers up i they wont hit ever. the sportlines really lower the car alot... i cant get a jack under the car to lift it lol i have to get a low profile aluminum race jack to get it started then get a real jack under it. the front crossmember is like 4" or less from the ground.
kinda looks like this the exhaust

Re: Mufflex 4" and 17x11 zr1s installed
sorry if i didnt make it clear, i have 275s up front. but the 315s in the rear are on an 11" rim with a 50mm offset (7.93 backspace) with a 1" spacer. I think the sportlines are out of the question for me because my mufflex y sits a little low as it is (ive also heard that the hedmans have betters gc than the hookers also). im sure my car would look awesome slammed though. 17x11s up front require extreme modifications. the 17x9.5s I have up front are very close to the tire rod as well as the strut.

my fronts are 17x9.5 with a 56mm offset and a 2.25 inch spacer... on a side note, the ground literally shakes when you stand next to the tailpipe

What part of MD are you from? Do you go to the track at all?
Btw...thats one of the best 315 "tucks" ive seen. Most people's 315s stick out a good 1/4-1/2" further.

Re: Mufflex 4" and 17x11 zr1s installed
deffinitely looks good man!
- Have you checked clearance between the wheel and the bumpstops at full droop? Mine is about the same as yours, maybe a hair further out and I had to trim & BFH the bumpstops a bit so that they wouldn't contact the wheel at full droop.
Yes, the headman LT's are closer to the car than the hookers(more ground clearance). I too was running true duals w/o any problems, but I had 2x2 box welded full length through the floor boards thus allowing me to completely cut the factory front subframe out from the firewall back. I also had no rear seats(all stereo), thus I cut the humps out and tucked my mufflers up out of sight. - if you do a search I posted a thread w/ pics on the exhaust forum a couple years ago.

yeah the wheels hit the bump stops at full droop so im gonna have to go in there at some point and do some cutting and pounding, sounds like you had to do a lot of work to get those duals in, for right now im pretty happy with the ground clearance i have with the hookers, just have to be real careful on speed bumps, thanks for all the compliments

With the 4 in mufflex, did you keep your heat shields in back or did you have to take them out? Thanks.

nah sorry i dont, and the car wont be comin out for a couple months... but i can tell you that the lowest point is where the ypipe goes under the trans crossmember... its about 3" of gc. a muffler shop should easlily be able to tuck it another inch. surprising i dont scrape over regular speed bumps, but thats crawling
very happy and impressed with mufflex out of the box

kerplunk, my buddy has 4 wheels off of a 2002 corvette, would these be the same size as what you have? also, if i got his wheels, considering their the same as yours, what would i have to do to make them fit? how much were your spacers and where did you get them? thanks

if theyre the stockers off an '02 vette they are not the same as mine. most likely they are 8.5 or 9.5 inches wide.

Impressive. I was doing some research to find rims offered in those sizes and stumbled across aftermarket ZR1 rims. I'm posting because, it looks like that 12 bolt rearend is similar in width to a 4th Gen rearend and here is why.
Source
The +50mm offset wheels also fit (rear only) 1993-2003 Camaro, Z28, Trans-Am and Firebird coupes (do not fit on Convertibles)- work on cars with stock suspension or up to 1 1/2" drop (lowering kits).
An optional wheel with a +36mm (7 2/8" backspacing) is also available for the 1984-1987 Corvette (rear application only).
Note: On 1993-2003 Camaros and Firebirds (coupe only) with stock suspension we recommend +36mm offset wheel (these wheel will then be almost flush with the fender well) while the +50mm wheels are suitable for these same vehicles with lowered suspensions.

I'm trying to figure out if I can widen my 17" x 9" ROH Snypers, with 5" bs, to 11"wide, by adding the 2" to the the bs, and fit with no or minimal wheel well mods.
Basically, can I fit a 7" bs wheel on the rear, with no or minimal wheelwell mods or spacers? And on my stock 9-bolt 3rd gen rear.

If I understand correctly and rounding off the mm converted to inches...With a 0mm offset wheel that would equal a 10" bs. Then, deducting the 1" spacer (let's pretend the spacer ispart of the wheel), your left with 9" bs?
