rear end configuration...

I was hoping to make better traction in the back with my rear and tires... What are the largest rims and tires i can fit on my stock rear and what should i do to the rear end to handle a 383 stroker with 450ish hp?

Re: rear end configuration...

depending on what gears you have, i would say either a 275/50-15 (26") or a 275/60-15 (28").. both can be put on a 15x8" rim with 4.5" backspacing or a 15x10 with 5.5" backspacing..

right now i'm runnin the 15x8 setup with a 28x11.50 hooiser qtp tire.. its about the same size as a 275/60-15..

EDIT: the pic in my sig is the 15x8 and 275/50-15.. that was pretty good for the street..
