17x11 17x9.5 combo
I'm looking to run 11" wide zr1's in the rear and 9.5" in the front.
With a stock 10 bolt in a 87 camaro would a 1.25" spacer be what I need to correctly mount the 11" rim in the rear? Would this combination be flush with the fender or would it stick out.
With 9.5" front wheels do I need 2" spacers? Is there any modifaction to the fender wells needed to fit the 9.5" up front?
Would 11" fronts fit (considering there nearly the same price) and if so how much modifaction is needed to make them fit.

Re: 17x11 17x9.5 combo
Spacer size needed would depend on the backspace of the wheels you buy. With the vette offset a 1.25 adapter sounds about right, but 11" wide will not fit under the fender. You can get them in square with the upper lip, but not under it.
No, you can't fit an 11 wide in the front. 9" has been done, 9.5 should may fit with the correct b/s and/or adapter.
Do a search, various wheel fitment has been covered many times.

This may not help you, but I have 2.0" adapters on the back with 18x10.5" wheels having 58mm of offset. I have a 9 bolt rearend with 4 wheel discs.
What are your offsets?

Re: 17x11 17x9.5 combo
There was a member here who had 11" in front/rear of his car. But I can't even remember at this point if it was a Camaro or a Firebird. I believe the car was built strictly as a track car though, no street running intended.
BTW, wider tires induce more drag at high speeds, also tend to wander much more. A wonderbar would be ESSENTIAL to prevent the frame from cracking under stress/fatigue that larger, higher traction tires would give. Its already essential on the stock cars with 16x8's.

Just did that same combo. I'm running a 2.0" spacer in the front (because of c5 brake upgrade) and a 1.25 in the back. Looks good. If you plan on lowering you'll have to use a BFH to make room in the back. (big f'n hammer)
