4th gen rear coil spring isolators..will they lower the car??
I am just looking for some verification here that's all. I have the Eibach Pro kit on my 88 camaro and it sits just a tad bit higher in the back than I wanted it to. I heard a rumor that the rer coil spring isolators will fit, and if you use them they will drop the back of the car by about 1/2 inch because they are shallower than the 3rd gen units. Is this true? Anyone using them? Thanks!!

Well that's no good. Oh well, I will just have to live with it for now. It really isn't that bad, but there still is a noticeable rake. I was just hoping to take about 1/2 inch of height off the back so that the body would sit more level from front to rear. Got any ideas?? Maybe shave some material off the isolator??

Live with it for a bit the springs may settle and you may not have to mess with it. if it does not maintain its height after a month or two depending on how much you drive you might not have to change anything. If it does you can always change it then.

I just bought some front ones from Spohn and the are very thin 1/4-3/8. I would think you can make them work on the rear .

Try removing the isolators altogether and use a section of heater hose as the cushion between the top coil and the chassis. That's a trick I learned from a couple of guys running Moser 9-inch rearends, because where Moser welds on the spring perches, it makes the car sit higher in the back. If you swap the isolators for heater hose, it brings it back down a little.

Switch your isolators for some made for a Fox body Mustang. This will lower it about 1 1/4". This way you still have an isolator in place.

79-93 for sure. The 94-up would probably work as well.
