Koni yellow's - but WTF ???

This is where I plan on getting them from:

customautoparts.com

SHOCK ABSORBERS » 1991 » CHEVROLET » CAMARO » KONI SHOCKS » WITH 16" WHEELS » FRONT SHOCKS ONLY Showing products 1-1 from 1
Image Description Price

1.
Detail KONI SHOCKS - Part# 87411030
LOW PRESS GAS SHK 2/BOX Our Price $503.48
Call to Order

However, I'm confused regarding this ... it looks like these would be not the sport shocks .,. but the... Koni Classic's ???

Looked on Summit, comparing part numbers
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...396+115+400387

See what I'm talking about ?? Someone, or maybe even both places, seem to be somewhat strange when it comes to listing these struts.

If you simply READ and not think about it, looks like customautoparts would sell shocks not ... struts .. because it says .. SHOCKS ONLY ?? And it says... low pressure ???
.
.
PS/ I plan on dropping the car down one inch front and back, cutting the springs, half a coil. Later on (once all parts are in, 17's front and 18's back are going on. So the suspension will be somewhat stiff

Yea those are both specials www.hotpart.com has good pricing on sports

Koni's will handle your application fine, most likely overkill

I guess I'll have to wait until they have it figured out, to see whether they do carry Sports or not.

Overkill ? hmmm maybe a bit ... but it all depends ... cutting my V8 RS springs would make it real rough, but I may later on try Koni Sports with cut V6 springs

Probably not. Stock RS spring rates are soft, even IROC rates are not that high. Even with a coil off, the rate isnt going to go up dramatically, and you will more than likely be hitting your bumpstops because the rate isn't high enough to couter the lower ride height. But yellows are great (if not the best)and will handle anything you throw at them.

Yeah, I do have the F41 suspension right now though, so I think once I get the shocks, I'll cut those springs first and give it a try. During the time they're out I'll just ride around using a set of old WS6 springs.

I may wait for a little while now though, due to that website, and maybe just rebuild an engine before I do the shocks.
