Junk. Just a gimmick suspension part. Will work for a while but not a true performance suspension component.

Unlike a leaf spring car, third gen suspension doesn't need "traction bars". It doesn't get axle wrap like a leaf spring car does.

Buy a good adjustable torque arm, some good LCA and some LCA relocation brackets.

- You don't need "traction bars" with our suspension, that's why there are none made. The suspension is a link-type, not leaf spring, therefore it doesn't have axle wrap issues.

Yes, the lakewood bars are junk, many a mild 305 has broken them. Do a search before you post, you'll find tons of info. - not trying to bash you, just noting the sticky at the top of every board

I dont think he's worried about you bashing him, unfortunately im the one with them on my car......

I havent even driven off my street with mine yet, due to building it and not having inspection yet. I can take off the plates and adjustable piston and weld on Reloc brackets. THen they are pretty much an aftermarket LCA with poly bushing. Got em brand new for $50, cant beat that. Well see if they are still on my car after i swap the gears and diff this coming month.

I think the idea of them is good but any traction device that "clamps" onto the diff in any way, isn't going to be the best design. It would also need to be made from heavier material to reduce or eliminate any chance of breaking or bending.

In a way, they're sort of like mini ladder bars but the short length limits any real potential for a performance product.

- If they're the proper length, then using them as boxed control arms would be fine. The replacement box arms lakewood makes are good quality.
