How do I fit my rear sway bar with a 9" rear?

Putting in my new Ford 9" rear and my biggest challenge seems to be how to get the rear sway bar back on...any of you that have already put a nine inch rear in with the torque arm bracket, how did you get the rear sway bar back on there?

Here is a pic of my interfence...

I called Steve Spohn and he hooked me up with his sway bar mounts for the 9 inch. Had them within a few days. Works great.

use 3" exhaust clamps to put them back on. then get a longer sway bar bushing piece of metal, or extend yours

I can’t tell from the picture, where are you contacting the housing?

Do you mind (or someone with the spohn brackets or something else that worked) measuring how far down the sway bar needs to be from the axle (I guess from the axle tube to the bushing pad would probably be the easiest way to compare them) to make it work?

I'am using the spohn ones for my moser 9" rear and from the axle to the bushing pad is just a little under 1 3/4.

Sorry about the lack of labels on the picture...the sway bar was hitting a torque arm bracket mounting piece. Its just to the left of the parking brake cable that is hanging down in the foreground of the pic. I wound up pulling the bar back a little and that cleared the bracket.

I do have the 3 inch exhaust clamps and wound up touching them up a bit. I torched them, then tightened the curve a bit and got the threaded portions closer together. They were a bit difficult getting over the axle tubes that way, but they fit nicely. I will have to re-paint that area though...

As far as getting a gap between the sway bar bushing and the axle tube, I thought they were supposed to be flush.
