Alignment shot after collision, need which spindle?
I had a front end impact a couple of days ago, someone reversed into me, and it looks like the RH spindle/knuckle is bent.
I have the found the following part numbers for spindles from different parts searches on the net:
#18016738 RH steering knuckle (1LE)
#18060582 RH w/Performance Package
#18060554 RH w/o Performance Package
Problem is, that I don't know which is the correct GM part number that I need to order another one. I know my GTA isn't 1LE so thats the first one taken care of, but by 'performance package' are they talking about WS6 (which all GTA's have) or is it another code for 1LE?
Please help, I need to order this part (and others) asap.

Actually... where did you get those part numbers from? They're not for thirdgens.
Thirdgens are all 14021196 for the right hand without 1LE, in all years 1982-1992.

Im not sure now. It's all a blur. I've been to so many parts places, some give you GM part #'s some don't.
I have used rockauto, gmpartsdirect, gm-auto-parts, partsamerica, and more that I can't remember. If you go to gm-auto-parts they list two different knuckles for each side.
The part number you gave me - 14021196 - has also been given by another friend so it's probably correct. Thanks.
I wish GM actually had an online fiche where you could pick the part you need and get the correct number. In fact I think I had a catalog like this a few years ago, which was the last time I had a GTA, but it's been lost.
