Car: 1982 Trans-Am
Engine: 355 w/ ported 416s
Transmission: T10, hurst shifter
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73
new stiff springs should keep the front end off the ground.
I'd recommend moog 5664's for the front, to help with the added weight. That's the stiffest factory spring available to fit in our front perches. They have about the same spring rate as some of the aftermarket lowering springs - but without the lowering effect.

Depending on the 455 it might be lighter than a 350. Buicks was IIRC.

IIRC - If I remember correctly.
FWIW - For what it's worth
BC - because
LMAO - laughing my a** off

There's a crash course right there.

ok, 455 buick, good choice. Do it up good now! Don't just drop in a smogger POS. Some work on that (not a ton of work), and it'll be a torque monster (due to cubes, not due to "buick".)
That's actually a lighter engine than an SBC.

I'd still recommend moog 5664's in the front, and cc635, cargo coils in the back. Air shocks if you have $$ to burn, but personally i'd rather put the money to something better, like custom made headers, remote oil filter adapter, intake manifold etc.
