87 Camaro K member
I have an 87 Camaro with a 358" motor full manual th350 w/3500 stall,4.56 gears running 7.30 (1/8) 12.40 (1/4) all street legal. My question is does anyone have the dimensions of a stock or aftermarket k member? I'm trying to do a 3d model of one to build for my Camaro. My problem is my car is about 25 miles away at my dads house and I don't have enough time to go get dimensions.
Thanks, Chevyracer8262.

Good luck. It will be much easier to just buy one. There's a lot of different angles required. The average person will have no idea what they are.
I do a lot of fabrication work on my car but building my own k-member is something I didn't want to do. If I did build my own, I would have changed a couple of things to help with my header clearance.
You'll need a proper tubing, not pipe, bender. I'd recommend a TIG welder also.

I'm not saying you can't do it but what you're asking for is beyond most people's knowledge. Your best bet is to go to your car and get the dimensions you need.
