Steering box rebuild...?

I have a WS6 steering box that I want to put in my Camaro. But, I don't want to have another sloppy box....like my current one. So, is there anything I do to rebuild it, or should I just break down and buy an new 12:1 box? Thank in advance, guys!

Yes, you can bench adjust the box before putting it in your camaro and it'll probably be tight. There's a article on montecarloss that can walk you through taking the slop out of the box. This should be all you need. I wouldn't open the box unless it's leaking.

yup. not much of a difference, but the WS6 is 12.7:1....just a little bit more. You can buy rebuild kits from autozone and such that have all new gaskets and seals. I just rebuilt a Ws6 box for my TA.
