Anyone removed Sway bar for a ET gain?

Transmission: TSI Glide
Axle/Gears: Quick performance 9 inch
Anyone removed Sway bar for a ET gain?
Has anyone removed their front or rear sway bars and had ET gain at the strip. I've heard the old wise tale about removing them and that will increase front end movement on launch and make the car lighter and hook better in the strait line.... just curious if anyone has done this?
