Correcting pinion angle
I got done with a Ford 9" install a few weeks ago.
I have drove the car twice around the neighborhood and love the 4.11 gears!!!
Anyway, I transfered all the brackets over from the stock rear to the 9" housing. I was off a bit on control arm brackets, but that problem is fixed with adjustable control arms. I also need to set pinion angle.
Is there any way to set pinion angle temporarily with the factory arm, or should I wait a while before I can get an adjustable arm in? I am going to have an adjustable arm no matter what, but I want a temporary fix so I can try out the car on the streets. Not beat on it, but a +3* pinion angle isn't exactly good and I think that's causing a bit of vibration on my short 60mph run down the street.
Fastest that car has ever got to 60!
Thanks for any help anyone can give me. I looked through the first 11 pages and didn't find anything since search doesn't work. But they have brought this site back from the dead more times than I can rememebr. It'll be back some day.

I would get a Spohn adjustable TQ arm, and depending on the type of bushings and mounts you have, you can set it up. Ive read some where that you can modify the TQ arm bracket, to get it higher, or lower, in the tunnel, but I believe that will mean some fabrication. Better off to get a TQ arm, IMO.
All solid mounts.....-1 to -1.5
Poly mounts..........-2.5 to -3.5
Rubber mounts.....-3 to -4
With rubber mounts the rear is going to want to really push up in the tunnel, so you would want to go with more neg. Just the opposit with poly or solid mounts. HTH.
