sqeaky front end
Hey all,
I was driving my 84 Z28 around last night, that I notice the front end sqeak's a bit... Where should I start looking to get her to quite down.. I know I need to change the shocks, but what else. Can I spray the springs?
TIA

probably your swaybar bushings, but like on any car with that many years on it I'd suspect anything and everything made out of rubber. Best bet would be to replace the swaybar bushings but another solution would be to unbolt em, clean any rust from the swaybar itself, wipe the inside of the bushings clean, put some greese on em, put it back togather and see if that quiets it down.. BTW this post would do better in suspension.

you could if you want, they probably are quite dry rotted by now anyway but try what i suggested first, simply remove em clean em up greese em and reinstall and see if that makes the sound go away. There are 2 caps, one on each side of the swaybar, a total of 4 bolts in all, its not much work, replacing all the bushings get somewhat involved.
