tie rod sleeves
I bought the Hotchkis tie rod sleeves and started putting the new steering linkage together using the old linkage as a little bit of a guide so the alignment won't be too far off. The inner tie rods were a pita to torque into the sleeves and I had to compensate for length with the outer tie rod by turning it more into the sleeve, because the inner sleeves would not budge any more. The outer tie rods turned in the sleeve w/ no problems. Overall they are both close to being the same length, anyone see any potential problems here? Just want to be able to drive it safely enough to get alignment done by people who know what they are doing, unlike myself ha.

maybe kinda late, but i had the same kinda deal with oem. but as long as the sh*ts on there, i think you'll be ok to make it to the alignment shop. unless it's three states away.

I finally just installed the inner tie rod and left the outer hanging and used a crescent wrench to cinch up the inner, finally got it in the ballpark on both sides. Now if I could get the passenger side coil spring to cooperate w/ me and the spring compressor I would be all done.....
