how hard to install a ladder bar kit
a friend gave me his 91 camaro he used for a bbc drag car and a ladder bar kit i will be running a sbc chevy about 350 hp or more with nos car has 4.10 gears and a 4000 stall turbo 350 trans and 26" tires running the 1/8 will it be worth the time to install or get some sfc and lca i was looking at the lakewood traction action lca's and welding them to rear and making my sfc's and stb and the other stuff i need another friend owns pulley engineering and can get me all the rod ends and stuff and is going to cage it for me or for the lca's could i make them out of mild steel or crome moly and use rod ends with spacers the friend who had car didn't have sfc on the car with his bbc and ran in the low 7's to high 6's when he didn't break the axles in the 1/8 mile would have friend put in when he puts in cage but he wants 2000 to install in my car and i have all the tools in my shop to do it i have never done anything like this though

First off, you'll have to have frame rails to install ladder bars. Unibody won't fly, you'll have to have subframes and rear frame rails. - For what you're looking at, just stick w/ the 3-link. You'll need aftermarket torque arm, control arms and relocation brackets, but the 3-link system works very well. - You should have/get subframe connectors even if you were putting a stock motor back in. These cars twist like hell, so w/o them you'll end up w/ a pretzel that the doors won't close/open on.
- I'm cutting 1.6X 60fts on 17 inch tires w/ the 3-link and manual trans. W/ slicks I'd expect to see atleast low 1.5's, should be 1.4's...it's a great suspensino system, just needs better pieces...
