Banging noise from right front wheel?

Hey guys,

I think their might be a problem with something in my front suspension. Every once in a while, when i hit a bump, i hear a noise that sounds like someone hit a big drum. I can also feel it a little bit. It sounds like it's coming from the driver's side front wheel, but I can't pinpoint the problem. Any ideas as to where to start?

Thanks!
Joe

First check for loose wheel lug nuts.I know this sounds silly but you'd be surprised how often it's this. From there you should check brake caliper, wheel bearings, strut assembly, upper strut mount and lower ball joint.Noise in the front can be any one or a combination of these. When you have the nose off the ground be safe and use jack stands. If you're unfamilar with front suspension take her to a shop that does front end work(ask your friends who they use. Some shops will tell you more than really is sometimes).
