undoing a suspension drop

undoing a suspension drop
I may possibly be purchasing an 88 camaro iroc convertible. I need to have it maryland state inspected. Does anyone from marland know what the Md rules are for a lowered vehicle? I dont think it will pass. if that is the case, how hard is it to return the vehicle to its original height? Thanks in advance!!

You may want to try the regional board for you area. Stock springs sag over time and can give the car the same "ride height" as one with lowering springs. I wouldn't be to concerned.

If you're serious about buying the car, I would recommend having it inspected before you buy it. Then you will know ahead of time how much $$ it will cost to get it through, and use that as a bargaining tool in the purchase. Of course, the cost of the inspection would come from your wallet, but it might save you from a buying a turd and you will know how much it will really cost to get it tagged and on the road. Unless it's slammed on the ground and sparking, I wouldn't worry about it being lowered a little. If you do get it inspected, be sure not to mention your concerns about it to the shop doing the inspection (could be one more thing added on the list ). Trust me, there will be a list. Md state inspection=big revenue generator for shop. At least you only have to do it once.
