305/35R-18 Nitto tires on my car
Hello Third Gen owners,
I was wondering if these tires will fit under my car without rubbing or doing any metal work. the size and tires are 305/35R-18 Nitto NT555R Drag Tires.
please post back, thank you.

well, I got 315/35ZR17's under my car with the aid of a hammer, but they do fit and don't ever hit. My car has Sportline springs which are a 2" drop.

the above is almost an inch taller then your setup though. your tire was roughly 25.5 in dia which is very close to stock and perfectly fine with a 2" drop. the offset of the rim is probably the only thing that required the metal work.
i'm running a 26.9 which is .5" more then what the 305/35/18 setup will do and i can't have it lower then a pro-kit stance.
now in comparison i was running a 295/35/18 bfg drag radial which worked excellent however at a pro-kit stance the 26.1" tire rubbed under hard turns and when i had a passenger in the car. occasionally on very hard accelerations.
point being that anything over a 26" tire you'll probably want to have a pro-kit or higher vehicle stance, otherwise you'll need custom fitted rims with the proper offset. the above bfg was ran on a 10x6.75 bs rim and it still had some slight issues.
good luck.

well i ran 315's on my 17's now im runnin 295's on my 18's...either way you will need to massage your fender wells and or fender lips.i know i did.....
not to mention being lowered and having other suspension parts like the adj panhard bar to center the rear and sway bars so when you take your hard turns body roll wont make you rub,im sure others will add to what im saying..this is a long reply and it takes a long time to hunt n peck each key

sorry to bring this post back, but when you guys massaged your fender walls...did you do it with a hammer or a grinder???
i testfitted my 19x9.5 and the rim barely rubbed the spring bumpstop (NOTE: with the car lifted in the air and the axle at full drop)...w/o an adapter which i dont want...anyways...the car will be lowered about 2" so more space should be available (the higher up in the wheel well the more backspacing available)...but i want to make sure...bc i want to run a 305 30 19...so should i use a grinder on those wall parts???...like a grinder with a sand disc or take a hammer to it

I did some soft massaging of the inner fender wells with a deadblow hammer, and you would never know the difference if your take your time using small hits, lots of times. I did this to make sure I had no rub issue, not to make something fit. Good luck with the 19"s
